The second time, I somehow contrived to sleep with my face pressed against the earth for so long that the dirt cleaved to my lips and left me looking like I was wearing black lipstick for two days. As a result of these painful experiences the prospect of camping does not excite me. May, 2007Rockwater Secret Cove Resort in Halfmoon Bay, British Columbia, has teamed up with Halfmoon Sea Kayaks to offer guests a package that includes a night kayaking trip for dinner on a remote island.
Located on British Columbia's Sunshine Coast, the resort offers the two-night excursion for kayakers of all levels. Guests stay in a Tenthouse Suite at the resort and travel with a guide to the island at sunset on one night. Dinner by the resort's executive chef is served under the stars before returning to the resort.
Cost is $373 per person, based on double occupancy. The package includes accommodations, two breakfasts, one lunch, guided kayaking, and a three-course candlelit dinner with wine and complimentary nightcap. Transportation is not included.
