Dear Rockwater guest,
We are required under a provincial health order to ensure that all customers have been vaccinated before they can be served in our restaurant, and we are requiring all our hotel guests to be vaccinated.
Beginning September 13, we will be asking for your proof of vaccination – your BC Vaccine Card – and a piece of government-issued photo ID.
To give everyone time to get their BC Vaccine Card, from September 13 to 26 you can show other forms of proof of vaccination, including your British Columbia COVID-19 Immunization Record Card.
After September 26, you must show a digital version or print a paper copy of your BC Vaccine Card. For more information on how to obtain your BC Vaccine Card, please visit: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/vaccinecard.html.
If you are visiting us from outside the province, please provide us with proof of your vaccinations in one of the official formats as displayed in the attached PDF file. You must have your first shot by September 13 and your second shot by October 24 in order to stay with us, and/or be served in our restaurant.
We will not be tracking or recording anyone’s personal health information, so customers will be asked to complete the verification process every time they stay with us, or dine with us.
We understand this is a contentious issue, but we must abide by provincial health guidelines.
To those who cannot or choose not to get vaccinated, we hope to welcome you to Rockwater another time. If you need to cancel your reservation, please keep our 7-day advance notice policy in mind.
We continue to strive to make our establishment a safe and COVID-free business.
Thank you for helping us comply with the public order and treating our staff with kindness and respect.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know.
If you have concerns about the requirement for proof of vaccination, we encourage you to contact the Provincial Health Officer.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
